The Library provides 16 Group Study Rooms with IT facilities to current AIT students. Each student is permitted to reserve the group study room for a maximum of two hours per day. Marker, HDMI cable and VGA cable can be borrowed from the Reference Desk.

Group Study Room Booking Policy (Free of Charge) 

The AIT Library currently provides 16 Group Study Rooms for student and faculty use.

  • 13 Small Group Study Rooms (accommodate 4–7 users; Room No. 1–10, 13–15)
  • 3 Large Group Study Rooms (accommodate 8–10 users; Room No. 11–12, 16)

 1. Booking Schedule

Room booking is permitted on a day-by-day basis only (no advance multi-day reservations).

2. Booking Limit

One AIT ID is allowed to reserve one room for one time slot per day.

3. Late Check-in

If the requester does not check in within 15 minutes of the reserved time, the reservation will be automatically canceled, and the room may be released to others.

NOTE:

  • All IDs used for booking must belong to current AIT students, faculty, and staff.
  • If you have already used your room booking privilege for the day but wish to use an available room, please contact the service staff at the counter for further consideration, subject to availability.
  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes late and your reservation has been canceled, and the room is still available, you may contact the service staff at the counter to request usage.

5. Time slots: Each booking period is 2 hours.

    • 08:00 – 16:30 at the Reference Desk
    • 16:30 – 22:00 at the Circulation Desk

7. Usage Guidelines – Activities Not Permitted

  1. Group Study Rooms are reserved for academic use by current AIT members only.
  2. Bookings for training sessions, workshops, or other long-duration non-academic activities are not permitted.
  3. Rooms must remain occupied during the reserved time. If a room is left unattended (e.g., users leave for lunch or other activities), the reservation may be canceled and reassigned to others.
  4. Personal belongings should not be left unattended. The library is not responsible for any loss or damage. Unattended items may be removed, recorded, and stored at the Circulation Desk for security and space management purposes.
